The "Angostura 1824" combines various distillates, which matured for at least twelve years in charred bourbon barrels and were personally selected by the Master Blender.

The Angostura distillery is located in the heart of the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad. The history of the distillery began in 1820, when Johann Benjamin Siegert, a German physician and scientist, settled in Venezuela. In the 20th century, the farm passed into the hands of various landlords before returning to the Siegert family in the early 1940s. The distillery gained worldwide fame especially through its cocktail bitter. Since 1824, Angostura also has rum in its assortment and is today one of the most important rum producers in the entire Caribbean region. The "Angostura 1824" is a blend of various barrels chosen by the Master Blender himself. These rums previously matured for at least 12 years in charred American white oak bourbon barrels.
