Bottling a piece of Barcelona: That was the vision of a group of passionate female entrepreneurs in early 2019. This is how two very special rosé wines were born, with the aim of being a reflection of and an inspiration for the Barcelona lifestyle. In doing so, they joined the rosé revolution that had conquered the world from Provence to the USA, Great Britain and Scandinavia in recent years. Now their sights are firmly set on Switzerland: BORN ROSÉ is set to become THE rosé brand that will take the rosé wine category to even greater heights.

The Region

Catalonia is a renowned region in northeastern Spain. The Catalans are the driving force and the greatest innovators in Spanish winemaking. They were the first to produce sparkling wine in the Penedès using the traditional method of Champagne – cava still plays an important role here today. This large wine region contains every microclimate imaginable for winemaking. On the coast, the sea provides freshness and moisture, while inland it is rather dry and hot. In addition, mountain ranges with their hills and steep slopes create many extraordinary terroirs, especially on limestone and clay soils. These natural conditions, combined with the ingenuity of local winegrowers, produce an abundance of great wines.
