Bottling a piece of Barcelona: That was the vision of a group of passionate female entrepreneurs in early 2019. This gave birth to two very special rosé wines, with the aim of being a reflection of and an inspiration for the Barcelona lifestyle. In doing so, they joined the rosé revolution that had conquered the world from Provence to the USA, Great Britain, and Scandinavia in recent years. Now their sights are firmly set on Switzerland: BORN ROSÉ is set to become THE rosé brand that will take the rosé wine category to even greater heights.

The Region

Archaeological finds prove that vines were already being grown in the Valencia region in prehistoric times. Today, the largest port city in Spain, the autonomous region, and one of the five DO areas in the Levante gives its name to the region. In the Valencia DO, mostly white wine is produced on brown, limestone-rich soils, primarily from the late-ripening Merseguera grape; fruity, pleasantly drinkable red wines are made from well-ripened Monastrell and Garnacha. The different landscape structures of the Valencia area are also reflected in the climatic conditions: a hot and humid Mediterranean climate near the coast, and drier and less hot conditions in the inland mountain regions.
