The Bulleit Rye was added to the Bulleit range in 2011 after the demand for a rye variant rose sharply. For this American whiskey a cereal mixture with a share of 95 percent rye and 5 percent barley malt is used. The water used is filtered through limestone and has a constant temperature of 13.9 ° C, which should guarantee a smooth and consistent taste. The Bulleit Rye is distilled in small batches and matured for at least four years in new oak barrels made of American white oak, which ensures a bright amber color. The whiskey has a very soft taste with sweet notes of maple and oak.
