The Castel Firmian line takes its name from the castle overlooking the Rotaliana Plain: full-bodied wines crafted from exquisite grape varieties. The Region

South Tyrol/Trentino is one of Italy's smallest wine-growing regions. A wide variety of altitudes, soil types, and climatic conditions make it highly diverse; numerous grape varieties find a suitable environment here. In the north, the Alps protect against cold winds, while in the south, Mediterranean currents from Lake Garda and the Mediterranean Sea influence the open landscape. The best sites are located between 600 and 800 m above sea level, yielding promising and diverse wines; significant temperature fluctuations between day and night and sufficient rainfall during the growing season create ideal conditions for high grape quality. Over 55 percent of the vineyard area is planted with white Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay.
