About Champagne Jacquart
Champagne Jacquart is a young, modern Champagne house brimming with optimism. Its mission: to turn life’s little pleasures into special occasions for sharing and emotion. Its outstanding expertise serves a free spirit and a cheerful, colourful vision of life, where people feel free to enjoy life’s essential pleasures. The brand brings a more relaxed kind of luxury to the world of Champagne and offers less formal ways to enjoy excellent-quality products at a fair price. A quality whose straightforward, airy and delicate character is shaped by a mosaic of terroirs and the passion of talented winegrowers.
The Region
With its relatively cool climate, Champagne in northeastern France was the first region in the world to produce sparkling wine on a large scale and is now synonymous with the highest product quality. Only sparkling wines from Champagne may be called Champagne; like wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy, they are a global benchmark. The roots of the vigorous vines penetrate deep into the soil, which consists of calcareous sediments and thus provides ideal conditions for water management. The finest sites are found on the slopes of the hills that characterise the landscape. While a wide range of grape varieties used to be grown in Champagne, today the main varieties are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
