About Hola

HOLA invites you on a journey through Mediterranean Spain. The carefully selected Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are grown in some cases just a few metres from the sea, while others are cultivated in the mountains overlooking the sea for their unique acidity. They are then naturally fermented in HOLA’s own cellars in Barcelona. The distinctive bottle design is inspired by the “panot de flor”, the symbol of Barcelona found on numerous paving stones throughout the city, representing both the city’s uniqueness and that of HOLA’s sparkling wines.

The region

With more than 1.2 million hectares, Spain has the largest area under vine in the world, so it is hardly surprising that viticulture is hugely important there. Three climate zones (the green, cool north, the extreme central plateau and the hot southern coastal regions), along with more than 600 grape varieties, many of them indigenous and used only locally, make Spain an exceptionally diverse wine country. Major rivers – the Ebro and Duero in the north, the Tajo in the west, the Guadiana in the south, and the Júcar and Turia in the east – run through the country and provide water for its vineyards.
