History
Since 1912 Ichnusa has been synonymous with beer from Sardinia. It is brewed in Assemini as a subsidiary of the Heineken Group. The name 'Ichnusa' comes from the Greek (Ichnôussa) and was the original name for Sardinia. It gives the character of the inhabitants, their secret desires and passions space as a typical representative of a beer from the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Locally, the beer is also called 'Birra di Sardegna', is the cult beer of the island.
