Les Jamelles Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre (GSM) Vin de Pays d’Oc SS 2023 Red Wine – A deep, ruby-red blend, full-bodied, lingering and fruity. The medium-bodied bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant and dried plum is complemented by notes of coffee and smoke. On the palate, the coffee notes intensify, while the fruit is equally precise, accompanied by soft tannins and spicy notes of pepper, liquorice and aniseed. The structure is soft, rounded and smooth.

The region

In the south of France, adjoining the Rhône Valley geographically, the country’s largest wine region, Languedoc, stretches along the Mediterranean coast, with its vineyards and picturesque old stone houses. The climate is characterised by abundant sunshine, mild winters and hot summers. The vines grown here—mostly on limestone soils—are robust and hardy due to the region’s dry conditions. Alongside viticulture, olive growing is a major agricultural activity here, with olives also thriving without artificial irrigation. Languedoc is an exceptionally colourful region: the Mediterranean flair is palpable everywhere, in the traditional earthenware, airy fabrics and light, delicious dishes.
