Les Jamelles Syrah Pays d’Oc IGP 2024 Red Wine – A light, fruity, well-balanced ruby-red wine with an intense berry bouquet (blackberry, blackcurrant), complemented by aromas of cherry and plum and a few spicy vanilla notes. The fruit flavours are also very prominent on the palate, with a slight sweetness on the initial taste, supported by a soft, full and incredibly harmonious structure.

The region

In the south of France, adjoining the Rhône Valley geographically, the Languedoc, the country’s largest wine region, stretches along the Mediterranean coastline, with its vineyards and picturesque old stone houses. The climate is characterised by abundant sunshine, mild winters and hot summers. The vines that grow here—mostly in limestone soils—are robust and hardy due to the region’s dry conditions. Alongside viticulture, olive growing is the dominant agricultural activity here; the olives also thrive without artificial irrigation. The Languedoc is an exceptionally colourful region: the Mediterranean way of life is palpable everywhere, in the typical earthenware, airy fabrics and light, tasty dishes.
