A Lucerne community project! The grapes for the Lozärner Cuvée Blanc grow in the finest vineyards in the Sempach and Dagmersellen regions. The blend of Souvignier Gris, Solaris and Riesling Sylvaner gives this multifaceted wine a lovely fullness on the palate, crisp acidity, broad aromas and balance.

The region

Lucerne is the most important wine-growing canton in Central Switzerland. Each year, 60 winegrowers here produce around 500,000 bottles of wine, or slightly more than one bottle per resident. The region thrives on a high level of innovation in a growing market and is well ahead of other regions. For example, it leads the way in fungus-resistant grape varieties, with a share of 34% compared with an average of 3%. The areas around Lake Lucerne, Lake Sempach, Lake Hallwil and Lake Baldegg are particularly notable for their mild vineyard sites. Central Switzerland encompasses the area once covered by the Reuss Glacier. The mineral-rich soils, warmer climate and ample water are especially beneficial to the vines.
