This whiskey from William Grant was created from three malt whiskeys. It is especially suitable for drinks and cocktails of various kinds.

The "Monkey Shoulder" is a combination of three malt whiskeys and is blinded by 27 bourbon casks. It is a fruity malt with fine apricot aromas and vanilla tones. The name "Monkey Shoulder" is to be understood as a reminiscence of an old tradition: years ago, the distillery workers had to turn the sprouting barley each time with shovels in laborious handwork. This hard work made aching shoulders and the poor hung low, almost like a chimpanzee. These transient ailments were referred to as monkey shoulder.
