About Quinta Sardonia

Quinta Sardonia originated from a joint project in the 1990s by the Frenchman Jérôme Bougnaud and the renowned Dane Peter Sisseck. The Region

Castile-León comprises the northern half of the great central Spanish plateau. It extends from central Spain almost to the northern coast; the vineyards lie at 700 to 1,000 m above sea level. Despite its proximity to the Atlantic, the climate is continental, with hot, dry summers, icy winters, and also large temperature fluctuations between day and night. Because it also rains very little, the soils are nutrient-poor – except near the region's numerous rivers, the most famous of which is the Duero, where significantly more minerals and clay can be found.
