SUGUS has been around for half an eternity. The general director of Suchard, a certain Mr. Liechti, was looking for new products for his company and discovered a special soft candy at Suchard in Cracow. In 1931 they were sold in Switzerland for the first time under the name SUGUS. But why was this delicious sweet called SUGUS? It's simple, the name is easy to pronounce and can be read from both sides.
