About Tenuta Sant’Antonio

Four brothers and a passion that originated in their father’s vineyards in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli, in the Valpolicella region, where Verona’s most famous wines—Amarone, Valpolicella and Soave—are produced. Today, Tenuta Sant’Antonio is one of the Valpolicella region’s most renowned wineries, best known for its full-bodied red wines, including one of the finest Amarones in the world. Since 1989, this traditional winery has produced outstanding, highly acclaimed wines of the highest quality that are exceptionally approachable despite their complexity, promising maximum enjoyment.

The Region

Veneto, as it is known in the local language, is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions, thanks in part to the tourist hub of Venice, and one of the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is exceptionally diverse: one-third of the region is covered by mountain ranges, while its central plains feature extensive rice fields and a long stretch of coastline. Venetian wines are correspondingly varied. Stony, limestone-rich soils covered with red and brown earth provide excellent growing conditions for the vines, while the Alps, whose foothills border the extensive northern area, protect the region from harsher northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains along the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown, while the cooler areas produce excellent white wines, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
