About Tenuta Sant’Antonio

Four brothers and a passion that originated in their father's vineyards in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli in Valpolicella, where the most famous Veronese wines are produced: Amarone, Valpolicella, Soave. Today, Tenuta Sant’Antonio is one of the best-known wineries in Valpolicella and is primarily known for its full-bodied red wines – its Amarone is considered one of the best in the world. Since 1989, this traditional winery has been producing excellent and multiple-award-winning wines of the highest quality, which despite their complexity are extremely approachable and thus promise maximum drinking pleasure.

The Region

Veneto, in the local language Veneto, is one of Italy's most popular wine regions with its tourist stronghold Venice – and one of the three largest in the country. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: on the one hand, a third is covered by mountain ranges, on the other hand, the region in the central plain has extensive rice fields and a large coastal strip. Accordingly, the Venetian wines present themselves with great variety. A stony and calcareous soil, covered with red and brown earth, offers the vines good growing conditions, while the Alps, whose foothills border the extensive area in the north, protect the area from the harsher northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains on the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown; excellent white wines come from the cooler zones, the most undoubtedly famous of which is Prosecco.
