About Tenuta Sant’Antonio

Four brothers and a passion that originated in their father’s vineyards in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli, in the Valpolicella region, where Verona’s most famous wines are produced: Amarone, Valpolicella, and Soave. Today, Tenuta Sant’Antonio is one of the most renowned wineries in Valpolicella and is primarily known for its powerful red wines—its Amarone is considered one of the best in the world. Since 1989, this traditional winery has produced excellent, highly acclaimed wines of the highest quality that are extremely approachable despite their complexity, promising maximum drinking pleasure.

The Region

Veneto, as the region is known in the local language, is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions, thanks in part to the tourist hub of Venice—and one of the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: one-third of the region is covered by mountain ranges, while its central plain features extensive rice fields and a long stretch of coastline. Venetian wines are correspondingly varied. Stony, limestone-rich soil covered with red and brown earth provides the vines with excellent growing conditions, while the Alps, whose foothills border the vast northern area, protect the region from harsher northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains along the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly cultivated, while the cooler areas produce excellent white wines, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
